I'm doing and interview for a PLC in early September but the deadline for maintenance grant applications is end of August. Do I send on the application anyway being presumptious that I got a place on the course?(I have two interviews for two different courses in the same college of further education but neither is definite).
ALSO the college i am doing an interview with have a website and it says that students going to the college are able to get a means tested maintenance grant but StudentFinance.ie do not have that college(Dunboyne CFE) on its list of colleges certified to get maintenance grants. Who is right, StudentFinance or the Dunboyne site?(or is it possible dunboyne CFE have their OWN maintenance grant setup?)...I know these are alot of questions to handle but I'm in a bit of a panic trying to get it all right in my head.

    Is this not it?

Yes, apply as soon as possible. Once you know what course you are doing send in a course acceptance form. Probably an FA2 in your case.

I'm not sure if thats the one i applied to. The list of courses doesn't include one of the courses i have an interview for(Journalism). And on the Dunboyne CFE website it doesn't say its called St. Peters College. And it says i have to apply with evidence of confirmation from my college.

I did a quick google and the St. Peter's site links to the CFE site. A lot of PLC colleges are closely related to the local primary/secondary school and are sometimes even based in the same building. So I'm pretty sure they are the same thing, studentfinances just hasn't updated to reflect the latest courses on offer.

OK thank you very much! That puts me more at ease anyways.
