New Driver

I'm getting a new driver, I know there's lots of old threads about drivers, but I thought I could get some up to date info from you

Current driver is a Burner TP 8.5 deg with reax 50g stiff shaft.

I automatically thought I'd be buying a Ping I15 driver - seems to be the 'TP' version of the G15 ...

But, while I can really nail the Burner at times, I'm not consistent enough with it. So rather than being lured into the 'better player' type club because I automatically assume its better, I need to find a forgiving driver, that will get me the most from my swing, most of the time.

    So I reckoned it'd be the G15.

Now people here are giving the G10 some good write-ups, and there's great value to be had so thats a big possibility. I had a G5 before and liked it and the rest of my clubs are G10/I10s.

When I started reading reviews of the G10, I noticed good reviews of the Rapture too.

So - maybe people could give a quick update on what driver you have, how you decided on it and how its going for you.

    Thanks a lot

    Kevo
I alwayd used to use Taylor made..just liked the feel of them and how they sat....I curremtly use a Ping rapture 9 degree stiff shaft....I couldn't be happier ..I am hitting more fairways than before therefore scoring better...I might not be as long with it possibly 5-10 yards but that is not an issue for me....hope this helps although I have hit the tp burner and I liked it as well..ps I preferred the rapture to the g10 and the price is very cheap now with the G15 out

    G5 10.5 offset reg flex

Bought it on ping reputation from Mcguirks, didn't even hit any balls with it.

If I'm going well my drives go well. If I'm off form and can't find a rhythm then I start to hook it. All of this relates to my swing.

I imagine you're a low handicapper with a driver like that?

Thanks lads. My handicap is 9 - if I hit a few more fairways I might reduce it a bit !
