Wall + car = :(

I scraped my car off the wall in a very tight turn. It's just above the rear tyre. I want to cover this up as it's probably a series of scrapes 4inches high by 6" in length (longest one). It's a black car so pretty noticeable and unsightly. Can anyone recommend what products to use? I don't know if the scratches are deep enough to rust, but I'd prefer not to take chances, and then paint over. Presume someplace like Halfords would have what I need? Or would I need to go to my dealer for the particular paint? Bit in the dark about this as it's the first time I've done it so not sure the best steps to take. Thanks :)

It really depends on how deep the scratches are. As they say a picture tells a thousand words :)

As onkle said. Get some pics up but also avoid halfords for paint jobs.

    I'd recommend turtle wax car_photo_253677_7.jpg
Specifically that one in your colour but only as a temporary solution.
Can you see bare metal through the scratch? Any dents? Inevitably me thinks a respray willl come into the equation but I'll wait for pics

Sorry, here's one I've just taken. Thanks for replies so far.

There aren't any dents or anything, but they are nasty enough scrapes; no metal on show.

Well from what I see it's not too bad :)
How are you with a brush? Touch up paint and brush (usually around 5-8 euro per bottle).

You may need several appications and with its position being low and the car black you could be in luck as colour matchin is a lil easier.
The paint code is located just inside the drivers door. There should be a sticker there with the code on it. There may be other stickers for tyre pressure so maybe refer to your manual or post up a pic of what is on the inside.
    See pic below for example

Aw that's a relief - thank you!! I was dreading the idea of a cost of respray! A bit of painting sounds therapeutic!! :) I'll have a look in the morning for the sticker as it's too dark out in the driveway to see that now. Thanks for your help!

i wouldn't use turtle wax but it would do for a quick fix until it gets washed
    1 some manufacturers paint
2 some wet sanding when its dry between 1200 and 1500 grit paper
3 then compound on a rotary polisher
4 and a finishing pad with some menz final finish
