Scotland 194-4 at lunch on day 2

Scotland 208 all out and claim the 6 batting points.

    Ireland 102-3 in reply.

Surprised there's not more interest in this, pretty important game for Ireland

Following it in cricinfo, seems to be better (my opinion), however I am not too familiar with the Intercontinental Cup though Maybe somebody could explain a bit better (I understand the concept and the points system no problem, just the competition format itself). At what stage of the Cup are we at? Is it the round robin top division, with Ireland with one game played only, right? What happens if Ireland tops the table then, where from there?
Sorry if these are stupid questions, just trying to get my head around these cups, qualifications, Ireland goals, etc
    Thanks a lot.

Pretty much all here, round robin. 1st vs 2nd for the cup.

Porterfield is setting down some marker!! Why did Glouchester leave him out of their side? You can be sure he will be starting their next county match

Raining in Scotland at the moment - shades of last year!

Once again the climate of this part of the world has killed Irelands chances. Shame as it looked in the bag if we'd gotten play.

So that what? twelve points from two matches, we could and should have won both. Now third in the table through no fault of our own.

Still, we are the quality side in the cup even if the weather isn't helping us to prove it.

Bloody weather. Nothing we can do now but keep playing good cricket and hope that other results go our way
