There's 3 red lights flashing on the front of our XBox on the power button. What is this and how can it be fixed if it can be fixed by us? Was working fine 2 days ago. It keeps crashing and won't work. Thanks for any help.

thats the red ring of death and will have to be sent to ms to be fixed, if its under warranty they'll fix it for free

Definitely broken and nothing we can do?

Where would we bring it to get fixed do you know? To Microsoft here? Not under warranty anymore. Thanks.

you'll have to call ms and send your xbox away to be fixed, ms extended the warranty on rrod to 3 yrs so you might be covered. theres a sticky about it http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055202987 if its out of warranty im not sure how much it'll cost

Try taking the Hard Drive off the Xbox and leaving it off for 30 minutes. Put it back on and try turning on the Xbox. Worked for me before when that happened to mine, but only works for a very small number of cases afaik.
