Just wanted to draw a bit of attention to Jess Ennis' performance in the final event of the Heptathlon in Berlin - what a way to win a multi-event competition! She went into the final event, the 800m with a 12 second cushion over the next competitor. Her PB was 2:09 going in to the event. Maybe it was a mixture of fear and andrenaline, but I like to think she just decided that she was going to take the title like a champ - She charged out into the lead and opened a gap straight away, went through 200m in about 28 seconds. She hit 400 in 61. With 200m to she slowed down severely and the pack started to reel her in quickly. She got passed coming onto the home straight but rather than coast in, she picked it up again, regained the lead, and powered home to victory. That's how to win a World Championship title!

Totally agree. What a role model she is for any young athlete. Also, its very much an Irish description of someone but she seems really 'sound' also, just an allround legend really.
