    hi everyone.
was thinking off taking a small break maybe mid september or that. wanted to go way somewhere for maybe 3 or 4 nights. i was thinking of denmark.have been looking up a bit about it. it looks like a lovely country. just wondering if anyone has been there and if they could give me some info or tips!

1)would like to know what would be best place to visit? i presume copenhagen would probably be obvious choice cause time is limited.

2)is it very expensive over there like i have heard from most people?

3)what areas would be worth going to visit, beauty spots etc?

like i said any info would be great as i am still just thinking about it.
    thanks guys :)

Copenhagen is well worth a visit. Yes, it is very expensive, but to be honest it didn't appear to be much more expensive than Dublin. But definitely more expensive than most other European countries.

If you've any interest in fairy tales a visit to Odense might be a good idea, there's a Hans Christian Andersen museum in his childhood home. It's about 30 minutes from the city by train, I think.

The Tivoli Gardens are really pretty at night, they are an amusement/pleasure park, opened in the 1840s. The Carlsberg museum is interesting enough too.

Copenhagen is lovely - I didnt find it that expensive, but as other person said, that's probably in comparison to Dublin.... The boat tour around the city is lovely, woudl recommend it.

heading here myself this month with a few pals, we've been advised that it's quite costly, where would be decent places to eat and go out for a few scoops that wouldn't break the bank....I've been looking forward to it for ages but all I keep hearing is it's sooooo expensive, it surely can't be as bad a s Dublin

Copenhagen is definitely more expensive than Dublin.

However it it legal to drink outside with beer bought from shops so if the weather's nice (and it'll be bright til quite late) have a couple of beers in a park or at Nyhavn. Totally acceptable behaviour over there.

Wasn't that expensive, was pretty much on par with Amsterdam/Duesseldorf.

Good fun there, stay away from the fancy bars and you'll be fine.
