anyone starting 4th year in dt358

    well im starting this course 23rd sept,
    was in lit las 3 yrs doin level7 and am entering direct to 4th yr,
    jus wondering are there any people on here doin same course?
    whats it like?
    whats the campus like?

    I've just finished 4th year in DT358. Overall it is an excellent course and based on the work I carried out for the group project, we are well prepared to go directly into "industry" straight afterwards.

    Fourth year can be quite busy, the first semester will be taken up largely with assignments with the initial chapter for the group project. Instead of a dissertation/thesis they have a group project. You wont have any direct control on who will be in your group, but if the group doesn't work well together or members risk missing the deadlines, they will split the group.

    My best advise is to aim to get assignments out of the way as soon as possible. A number of lecturers will let you choose when to hand up assignments or do presentations, and by getting some done early, you'll gain from it towards the end of the semesters.

    in havn't done the first 3 years, i did road transport enginering in limerick(level7)
    and going into 4th year direct access.
    cheers for the advice too, have ya been lookin for work in the "industry"?
