    Can anyone suggest bars that have live music - bands - playing covers around dublin city, any type of music, any day.

    the grand central has 2 lads with a guitar and bass on wednesdays i think it was but there always there for the Dublin matches ! :)

    try the laurels in clondalkin, best pub around.

    I'm doing a gig in the Belvedere (Maldron group) hotel on Denmark st. on sunday 30th august 5-9pm. Its Irish music, our group is along the same lines(ish) as the dubliners and planxty. lots of singing, bouzouki-ing and mandolin-ing.

    I tend to avoid the laurels because my brother works there :P There are plenty of bands on there though, he said a lot of them are pretty good. :D
