I was just reading the ad for the German Pointers for sale and how he was fully vaccinated etc. It just dawned on me that I never got the booster shot this year for my two pointers. I completely forgot about it. I usuually get them done if Feb or March, just after the season.
Is it too late now to get a booster or should I get them fully vaccinated again?

I havent got the link P AND b but a study on dog booster shots showed that every 3 or 4 years was quite sufficient , this annual booster is a money maker for drugs companies.

    Phew!

Thought I'd have to go through the whole process again.
I usually do them myself - local farm shop keeps the booster shots - much cheaper than the vet. Will call in at the weekend and get them.

The local chemist in my town would have sold them, I could give my dogs a booster shot for something like ten euros, its a subcutaneous injection which is administered under the skin , generally at the nape of the neck.

edit to add, Its been a few years since ive had to do this so im not sure
if the shots are still available over the counter, they may have been reclassified..ask at your local chemist;)

most folks are using a three year booster programme up until the animal is ten years of age, however high risk letpospirosis areas would neccessitate a yearly booster of the leptospirosis shot only!;)

I probably should have elaborated - it's my local Farm Supplies Shop and not where you buy fresh vegetables :).

They sell everything from gates to wellies to dog food to fertilizer etc.
