Thinking of buying some home recording equipment?

As the title says. I'm pretty much a complete novice when it comes to this. Basically, I'm just looking to buy an audio interface and a midi controller keyboard for home recording. It's only for recording home demos and that sort of thing. Purely a hobby thing. I don't really have the skills or the money to be investing in anything too high tech.
Also, i probably should mention that I'm not really looking to record vocals, drums, acoustic guitars or anything like that just yet.
I have been using beatcraft for creating drum loops and another program called mixcraft for recording basic demo tracks. How I've been doing it up until now is just by plugging my guitar straight into the mic input on my laptop. It sounds pretty awful but I've been finding it pretty useful for getting ideas down quickly.
Anyways, I've got about about €250 to play around with and I'm thinking of buying the following 2 products:

    http://www.thomann.de/ie/maudio_oxygen_49.htm

Has anyone any experience using them? Are they worth buying? Are there alternatives I should be considering?
Is there way more stuff to buy before i get this stuff?

Hi, never got any reply yet. I was just wondering if the 2 products i've linked to are worth buying? Or should I try and get a bit more money together and look into getting something more expensive

They should be fine. Don't forget to get cables and the like and maybe a microphone and something to listen with, headphones or speakers. There's also plenty of places around Dublin who seel the same stuff or similar for the same kind of prices. At least they will make sure you have all the right cables and stuff is you ask.

Cool, thanks for the reply. I might actually go look in music maker this weekend.
I'm presuming by cables, you mean guitar leads and usb connections for the controller keyboard.
A decent set of headphones is also being put on the shopping list!
