Just watching the news earlier today, holy smokes you had two murders in wicklow and lots of stabbings in mayo, this country is gone haywire, is it down to the recession? It seems to be geting worse and worse the more the Live register goes up, and this is only August 2009 before the goverment make massive spending cuts in the winter, there going to cut social welfare and lots of other things in this country by next year so u can Imagine what state we will be in by then, i think law and order is going to break down in this country following welfare cuts and more mass unemployment:(, and its all down to going through the celtic tiger and one big massive hangover for a people who got used to living the good life, MY god people what has happened this country as my father who is 84 said to me today, it really is depressing.

...and people got offended when I suggested censorship. The reason? Because the OP thinks Ireland is irreparably damaged because of a few clustered stabbings in some random part of the country. Is it logical to draw that conclusion? No. Is it useful? No again.

Now, let me just get my black highlighter and I'll remove your earthly troubles OP...

Ok, Ireland's wonderful, but I'm hiding the knives from you just in case.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

This has nothing to do with vbulletin and everything to do with me being omniscient. :)

Just watching(....) it really is depressing.

Nothing bad ever happened before now. In the times before, all was roses. Now, parts of Dublin are rough, Irish people drink and fight, and the travellin community have become rambunctious.

I remember in rural Ireland, in the 70's and 80's, muders or stabbing were so rare as to be unheard of.

What happened is the Dublin government (who never understood the real Ireland anyway) started moving problem families out of Dublin and down the country. That's why you have people being stabbed to death in Mayo and other places now.

    .

    .

.....because the demographic that gets involved in that kind of thing had taken the boat in vast numbers, same as in the 1950's....

Stupid post. No such thing as a Dublin government, it's the Irish government voted in my Irish people, and most people in government are not from Dublin.

Where is the evidence that the stabbings were carried out by Dubliners in Mayo?

Mayo, where criminals roam and the Gardaí are afraid to go on there own!

Another attack there last night, this place will be the new Baghdad soon if things continue.
