Racing UK has been lost by Setanta. Does anyone know what the charge in Ireland is? It's £20 a month in the UK which seems a bit of a rip off...too much for my justification in subscribing, especially when you can watch the races 10 minutes later on the web. Any thoughts?

The Irish scrip to RUK is fixed at €25 p/month.
And yes, that is steepish ............... considering that Setanta with RUK, ESPN etc was cheaper.

But I would sign up IF I COULD! I've posted about this on the Satellite forum -- and rather than repeating on here -- suffice to say that since last Monday I have been kept "on-hold" for approx 4 hours in total on the RUK 0818 776700 number. That 0818 number is billed at national call rate, and I estimate it has cost me over €30 so far without succeeding in signing up.

I'll try again when demand lessens off -- I can justify the outlay on the basis of 80 cent per day which is easily recouped with a few In-Running bets.

yeah i posted there and here too. So be it if I get reprimanded for double posting...

Thats provided you know what your doing:rolleyes:

They have York, Goodwood, Cheltenham, Aintree, etc...It just pisses me off having to subscribe to so many bloody channels. It all adds up. I'm not going with ESPN on principal, but I'm more inclined to go RUK coz I think it could pay for its self

No, let VCBET pay for it! ;)
(Anyone who was previously an RUK customer will know the "story" -- back the monthly free bet and Lay the €25 on Betfair. )
    Simples. :D

I'm very surprised (pleasantly) to discover that I'm today receiving full RUK programming on Channel 432, .............. even though I haven't as yet subscribed.
I knew RUK were providing the first four York races FTA this week, but I have had the full six races and now this evening I'm watching Nottingham.

It's a mechanism that gets you RUK for free.
Has worked for me for the past two years.
I've PM'd you the details, if that's okay.
