Their entire full forward line was class this afternoon. Our full back line had been generally sound so far this year but they pretty much ripped us to shreds. 1-6 from play in the first half alone by the 3 of them combined.

Also, welcome to Boards and all that, but try to cut out the txt spk. You have an entire keyboard in front of you, so do please use it :)

We have a fine chance of beating Killkenny if Badger and Maloney play well in the forward line.

I hope you didn't get Leaving Certificate results lately with English like that. Galway have the players to beat Kilkenny but they will have to play a lot better than they played yesterday. The full back and midfielder (both Burke I think) were the most impressive. Brian O Halloran was best for Waterford.

Galway seriously owe Kilkenny a beating after the daylight robbery of last year. The likes of Cummins and Burke that were on last year's team will be highly motivated after that disaster. This does look a good galway team and it should have the makings of a very good final.

I thought the full forward line put away their chances well and look right handy. Also Galway won alot of good, clean possession from puck outs. However if Waterford had finished off a few of their passing movements when they were chasing the game, they could have been in for goals.

If Kilkenny run up the middle at Galway, i sense they might be in trouble but after they got robbed last year, i hope that Galway win it out.

On a somewhat similar topic, as people always comment about how many players you get out of a minor team, the programme listed the Waterford minor team of 1992. It only produced 2 senior stars, Feeney and Flynn. Easy to see why Kilkenny have the numbers, they have a minor team winning nearly every year in Leinster and getting to the big days in August and September.

Just like to comment that Galway were not 'robbed' last year they failed to take their chances while KK did. Granted it was one of the worst KK minor team displays I'd ever seem in a final but enough said.
On your point about 'Kilkenny having the numbers'. Galway contested a final in 03 and won minor AI's in 04 and 05. They've had as many days in August and Sept as KK have. Just not able to make that transition to senior grade.
Havin' said that Galway were excellent yesterday and beat a Waterford team who'd won the U 16 Tony Forristal Cup back to back. I think Galway will beat KK in this year's final but they should never assume they have a god given right to win it as can be the impression sometimes;)

Sir Graball, when i said 'robbed' by KK in last year's final, i meant by stealing victory in the last minute or so.

When i was referring to the numbers for minors, i was meaning KK in relation to Waterford and not Galway. Galway have the world of minors and U21 in the last few years and got a very poor return off the talent they appear to have.

the galway minor panel is one of the best Matt Murphy has had in years, watch out for donie fox at centre back, just back from hamstring problem and is matties most prized asset. definately has a big game in him. daithi burke is unbelievable, younger brother of last years full back ronan burke but twice the hurler. the 6 starting galway forwards are phenominal, there all in ther favoured positions and thriving in them, badger is a class act, instrumental to turloughmores underage success over the years. tadhg haran is a quality hurler on the bench for galway, came on and scored a fine point, ive played schools hurling with him and he is unbelievable, so if hes on the bench i can only wonder wat the other lads are doin on the trainin ground to keep him out of the tem. niall burke is as lazy a hurler as youll ever see but ball in hand and ders nothin you can do to stop him. in my opinion this team is goin to rip kilkenny apart, if you were at the semi in HQ on sunday it was clear that they were never put under any pressure, they won by a sizeable margin without leaving there comfort zone. on any given day every single one of these minors are match winners so watch out kk!!

When you're as old as I am aidan you'll realise this kind of talk leaves you hostage to fortune. If we're good enough on the day we'll win it, simple as. Haven't seen anything from Fox to date to impress, last year also. Haran looks a fine prospect, unique to see a hurler from Salthill.
