Bike Lanes are well maintained and thoughtfully created. I like the way they are integrated into the road rather than pushing you onto a pavement where you have to give way to pedestrians and side streets.

    Wow, that's THIS Dublin, right?

I only have experience with cycling in one other city, Brussels and while it was not perfect, drivers were certainly more accommodating to cyclists than here. But of course, like the man says, that's just one man's view (and I cycled there for one day).

I don't agree with his view on our cycle lanes, some of the ones around town are awful, with the stretch between Donnybrook and Leeson street being particularly bad for me due to poor maintenance.

Wow, that's THIS Brussels, in Belgium right?

Apparently, it can be bad, although at lot of the city centre doesn't get through traffic.

Its not unsafe, I just take issue with the fact that he says there has been planning and forethought in the design of the cycle lanes.

Even the government admitted there hasn't been.

I posted as well. The comments need to be moderated so I wonder if any will be let through.
