Wonder will he be treated better next year. Read the other day that the team bus didn't even wait for him at the start of some of the TdF stages.

With Vino comming back, will he be involved in another battle for leadership?
Fair enough Vino has been out on suspencion but reading some press releases from him he considers Astana his team!

With Vino back I can't see leadership being an issue... when they are not invited to any of the big tours.

Not a chance he'll be with Astana next year, Caisse d'Espagne or Garmin .................
Astana simply throwing thier weight around, he'll have his contract bought out or annulled on the basis of non-payment or breach of contract

Perhaps they are waiting until the results from the new tests in Sept are known.

BBC and Cyclingnews seem to be the only ones out there who can't see the wood from the trees. Other sources report the same statement from Astana with a different slant; Astana intends to enforce Contador's contract. In other words, if you want him, have your lawyers contact ours. Oh, and bring a suitcase of cash.

This is nothing more than silly season posturing.

Interesting RobFowl, what makes you think JV would want him at Garmin. With question marks over his recent 'performances' I would have thought they wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. Would Wiggins (now that he's a genuine contender) & Vande Velde want him on the team? Would they be prepared to ride for him? Can Garmin affoard him?

I would have thought Caisse d'Espargne would be the team. Will they not have to shaft Alejandro 'piti' Valverde after what has happened recently? They'll need a new grand tour leader.

Rumours I heard that they had him almost signed for this years tour after Astana were late paying salaries. Seems a Felt was already in his apartment in Madrid !

Caisse d'Epargne will buy him especially if Alejandro doesn't do the business in the Vuelta this year.

Caisse d'Epargne makes the most sense to me, especially since Valverde will more than likely have to sit out a 2 year suspension shortly.
