Options other than mobile broadband?

    I'm pretty certain there's no other cheap option but thought I would ask anyway.

    Currently have mobile broadband with 02. out of contract so about to change without penently. Am absolutely sick and tired of it, especially since the girl in the shop 'upgraded' the software on my modem two weeks ago. Now it constantly drops out and doesn't always connect.

    The house I am in has never had the landline connected, although we did once have sky. Is mobile broadband my only option as we don't have the landline connected or can something be done through the sky dish? I really don't want to get the landline connected.

    EDIT: Just doing some more research, it looks like upc is an option? From their website...As our broadband is provided over our own network a phone line is not required so our customers do not need to pay line rental to other operators to avail of our service.

    Edit again(!) UPC broadband isn't available in Ennis so that option is out. Does anyone else provide a service the same as UPC?

    Fixed Wireless €35 to €50 p.m. Though don't know if it's in Ennis. Can be similar or better than landline.

    Two Way Satellite From €40 to €150 a month. Separate dish to Sky.

    Phone line might be only ennis option.
