So, I have a hankering for a Hydra. Are the Forge World resin casts any good, cause their website seriously smacks of amateur hour. I know they're a subsidiary or something and the pics they have up look good but...

Any of the stuff I've gotten from FW has been good. Working with resin is a pain though. You know the bits of excess you get with metal models? You can get the same stuff with the resin but it's a pain in the ass to cut, then you have to wash them to get the mould release off. The details are great on the models though.

A friend got elysian troops from FW, the detail on them is much better than the plastic IG troops for something that's fairly small.

yeah ive done a fair bit of the forgeworld stuff & the detail is really nice on them but they can be a pain to work with as the resin is very brittle & can snap easily if not handled correctly.

If done properly they really look good though
