    Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone could help in finding out where this part is from, i was taking my gun apart , not the gear box, but a little metallic circle fell out, well half of it, the other half was jammed in the gear box, it is all crumpled up, so now i have 2 halves:(
Anyways does anyone know where it may have come from? i was guessing the piston area but no sure, no picture sorry
    thanks:)

it could be the the plate that goes between the motor and the height adjustment screw,,,,, hard to tell without a pic or approx size, thickness

    +1.

If so its supposed to go between the motor adjustment screw on the butt of the handgrip and the motor.

not the motor base ajustment plate at 2cm diameter... and not exactly crushable...

WHERE did it fall out of? WHERE was it in the gun? and what gun? i cant think of any guns with 2cm x 3mm disks in them.

i think his demensions may be a little off as it would take a bit of force to crush a 3mm plate,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

you are prob right its prob more like 1.5 if even, it fell out when i wascleaninggun, i took gun apart except the gear box and i dont were it came from, i have a SCAR dboys...

what colour is it, is it heavy, using money coins what would be the closest comparison for size? where exactly did it fall from on the gun? magwell? grip? barrel etc etc.

Even if your size guessing is slightly off then it cant be anything from an SCAR really except the motor plate? How it got half crushed is anybodys guess like!! It could be a shim but I doubt it as they have holes in the middle? Is the little plate solid?? Cos i thinking if it was the motor plate somehow fell out during use then it could have fallen into gearbox and got mangled but thats simply inpossible got it would have stuck to the motor like buggery as thats what big f@$£k off magnets do---????? Unless we get a picture buddy cant really do much more to help afraid!! I am interested now though..

Question... now the gun is reassembled... does it work or not?

If it works without that part its likely either not from the gun, or superfluous... so rock and roll...

also for future reference... cleaning an aeg... I'd not really bother disassembling it to do so, the only areas that need attention are the barrel on any regularity... Especially if you arent confident taking the gun down.

i got it lads thanks:D wen tto eirsoft today it turned out my guessing was kinda off itr was 1.5 cm an dit was a little ring that goes around the spring guide but an aeg has like 4-6 of em and even if they break it should still fire ok and to answer your question yes it does still fire....
    Thanks though lads, and eirsoft:D

But you said you didnt take apart the gearbox, so i take it this piece of the spring guide broke and ran havock around your gearbox?

Out of curiosity what was the make/model of gun?

the scar also has a spring that runs from the stock to the front of the barrel for the ejection port slide, he may be refering to this but i dont remember any rings on it
