Opel dealers have huge reductions on Vectra, Astra and Corsa. I know the Vectra has been replaced by a new model....but I wonder why these reductions are so low. Is there a problem with Opels I should know about before I spend my money ????

Opel are just trying to move stock. Ford have good money off cars this month too.

I imagine they have a load of astra's as well and they would really want to sell these before the new model comes in next year.

But my real worry is that there might be reliability issues with these cars...can't find a decent review !!!!!!!!!

Opel are generally good cars, Ford are a little bit better though.

Reliability would be the same as any other new Opel. Wouldn't be any worse because they're a bit cheaper:)

I wouldnt touch a vectra unless you were planning on keeping it along time. Its value at trade in time would more than wipe out any savings made now over the newer insignia.
They were never the best drive but if you want a good solid car to keep for a long time, you could do worse. I would rate them as very reliable and long lasting in general though

Yeah. Where are you getting this from? I see nothing on the Opel website.

I've got an Astra and I'm generally happy with it apart from I'm getting bored with it now after 18 months as usual.

Opel are calling August "astra" month where they are offering astras from 17k & up. It's more publicised on radio as i hear the adverts daily. It's to get rid of old stock in advance of the new model.
