Just after half one this morning i noticed something moving on the night sky. I came outside and there it was. quite big - much larger than normally plane lights are- and not flashing, moving not too fast but steady speed towards Wicklow mountain. It was orangey-reddish vibrant colour, roundish in shape. There was no noise whatsoever.

I saw something similar up in sundrive going to work, a few people saw it, someone even stopped their car to look.
Something in the paper aswell about large orange objects, apparently it was just venus

I'm sorry. I'm to blame for all this. I was setting pigs on fire and shooting them at the Wicklow mountains from a catapult. I was very very drunk last night you see.

We're currently in a pretty active satellite/meteor/visible plants phrase astronomy wise. What has been interesting is that a lot of this has been visible to the naked eye. You got lucky and probably say one of the three satellites currently being spotted by people in the last few days (or the second most likely option is you got a glimpse of the meteor shower).
