I suffer the same thing myself. Skin gets raw on my right thumb. I hold the grip too tight, and thats one of the problems associated with it.

So is there anything that can be done to combat it, besides gripping loosely because i feel i have to grip it tightly , especially the driver or i won't make good contact.?

Why do you think you feel the need to grip tightly. Your grip should be soft to firm but not tight. A tight grip usually results in slower clubhead speed.

:( I was expecting all you pros to upload pictures of your grip.

I'm still struggling with 2 strong hands and a right to left ball movement.

Could be an idea for a new thread.
