    Hi all.

Did a search but couldnt find a thread on this movie.

Anyways, i enjoyed it, was quiet good, but judging from rotten tomatoes score of 90+ i expected something spectacular, but found this movie to be quiet average (imdb ranks it at 7.5)

The chemisty between the 3, particular hanks and bacon is never really there and i felt slighty dissapointed after the movie, that isnt to say i didnt enjoy it, but somehow i expected more

    Thoughts on this film? Cheers.

Its a solid movie, the launch sequence is still amazing though, I remember seeing that in the cinema and being blown away by it

In all fairness it was not their fault.

They did exceptionally well to get home considering what they were up against.

I really enjoyed it as I love Space like films and thought Apollo 13 gave a strong representation of actual events. I felt the film captured the claustrophobic element of the whole scenario very well, while still focusing on the events on the ground.

I sure it been asked before, but what are people's opinions regarding Rotten Tomatoes and their reviews?

Thought it was a very entertaining film that got us to feel suspense even though we knew the outcome of it all.

The Right Stuff is another terrific space race movie.

I love everything about this movie, its one of my favourites. :)
I have a huge interest in the Space race and the Apollo missions, and i found this a great insight into what it was like, and the people behind it.
Top job by everyone in the movie IMO

    Always liked it.
    Great "beating the odds" film.

Entertaining movie but A LOT of dramatic licence taken (some almost on the verge of slander) and I found the whole Kathleen Quinlan (Marilyn Lovell) section cringeworthy.

I've never seen it. Just one of those movies I've never bothered to watch.

Anyone who enjoyed this movie should also watch In the Shadow Of The Moon.

Great movie documentary on the entire Apollo programme.
