Are you suspected of insurance fraud?

Unfortunatly for you there's a difference between knowing that you're being followed and providing evidence that you're being followed. Keep in mind that a PI can also be following you for legitimate reasons.

    SNIPPED

First of all I think you need to tell us the WHOLE story .... you think you know why a PI is following you ?
who are the complaints against ? (which guy the PI ? or someone behind him?) ..... why not approach the PI and ask him what he's doing - if he knows his cover is blown he could then face harassment charges.

why not bring a camera and take pics of him - to support any harrassment claim

Insurance companies often have private investigators check on those claiming e.g. personal injury claims.

If you have such a claim talr to your solicitor about this.

If you do have a pesronal injury claim and an insurance company have arranged the PI, they are legally entited to do so. I couldn't see you winning a harassment claim when the PI is simlpy doing his job

If you told the PI to feck off and leave you alone and he didn't you would have a case.
Also a PI is not entitled to break the law in his activities. They have no more powers than a private citizen.

I agree with other posters, confront him, take pictures of him and his vehicle, see how he likes it.

I have to make the observation here that if he is a PI and you know this he's not doing his job properly. PI's in fraud cases work covertly and they do it well.
