Not many of the big Japanese names made it as far as I thought and it seems the Americans didn't do so well after all the build up on Evo. Marn has a great Viper but for some reason went for a Rufus, same for Wong as he went for a Boxer. The matches will become available with Arcadia Magazine in Japan. I'll keep an eye on Play Asia as I know they get copies of it!

I'm surprised that Momichis team got knocked out in the second round.

Good year for the new characters, 3/4 in the finals of SBO. Poor Fuerte

The reason wong went with balrog was cos both of their best characters were rufus but wong can play anyone well whereas rufus is marns best character by far. Thats what justin wong said anyway.

I think if there was a losers bracket that maybe the Americans would have performed a little better. In terms of tournaments it's what they would be used to.

The thing is Wong is obviously the stronger player here. And while Marn is good with Rufus, he also has a very strong Viper. I would have had Marn roll with Viper and then have Justin go with Rufus. Of course if it's as RopeDrink said, then the whole point is mute
