Teaching with an engineering degree?

    I have a degree in engineering from trinity and you get a degree in maths too and was wondering if i can just start teaching like physics and maths etc or do i have to do a Hdip?and once ive done a Hdip then can i teach?

    You are not a qualified to teach until you have the hdip. Yes, when you have the hdip you can teach.
    Having said that, you could do maths or physics subbing in schools without the dip. I did 2 years subbin/maternity leaves before I did my dip. However. with all the experienced teachers out of work, it'll be harder this year for non-qualified teachers to get any subbing. Hope that answers your question.:)
