ps3 restore issue

    I just had to get a replacement for my ps3 60 gig and I tried to restore my data using a back up file on an external but Ill I get back are game ssaves and music, no install data or dlcand when I did back up it took 2 hours and a large chunk of my external drive so where is everything?

    Yes thats correct.
    You can only restore install & DLC data to the same console, otherwise whats to stop anyone just restoring one HDD image to infinite number of PS3.

    Thats grand had same issue last week and had to backup my current HD onto a spare. I had issues going online and it appears that my 320G HD has some issues. Backed up my image onto my 80G. I'm only using 60 G I'd say so alright for the minute. The only thing stopping for formatting and re-installing my 320G is the fact that I have to re-download everything from the PSN Store back on to it again!
