    Hi there,

We are due to get married on the 17th of September this year and we found out today that the restaurant we had booked has gone in to liquidation. We were booked in to in to a Dublin city centre restaurant for a small ceremony of 25 people and the wedding was also to take place at the venue. Can somebody please recommend a venue where we can fulfill our dream.

    Many thanks,

    J + A

    Hi Bugnug,

sorry to hear your wedding plans have been messed up so close to the day!
Have you found anywhere else yet?

I've been looking up places that might suit you, isn't very many that will also have the wedding ceremony it seems. Locks Restaurant in Portobello looks very nice, their website says they cater for small weddings/private parties of up to 30 people, and also do civil ceremonies there too (I think your post said you wanted the wedding ceremony there too). www.locksrestaurant.ie

Fingers crossed that you find somewhere lovely soon :)

I know its not in Dublin, but myself and my fiance just viewed a function room in a restaurant in Kilcullen in co. Kildare yesterday and its gorgeous. I'm sure they'd sort you out.

If you call them mention that you are travelling. My fiances family is from Limerick and I mentioned that we would be looking for places to stay and the manager offered to look into this for us if we decided to go with them.

We hung around the restaurant after the meeting to have dinner and the food is gorgeous. The function is also without doubt the nicest we have seen.
