Hi. I think i want to start driving. I really dont know where to start. I was googling to book a driving test but the test centre for cork was coming up as penrose wharf, but isn't it in doughcloyne now? I would do it in cork or mallow but these dont seem to be an option on the on-line booking. I was also looking for waiting times and couldn't find them either. Can i ask for a specific day to do the test on? I got a rules of the road book before but it looks like there's a new one out now.
It's also going to be hard when it comes to taking lessons. I mean getting a lesson once a week wouldn't be a problem but i'd have no practice in between times. My parents dont drive, neither do my brothers n sisters or my boyfriend. Would it be difficult to learn to drive, only getting one lesson a week?
Basically any info on the whole process would be great. Thanks.

The theory test center in Cork is in Penrose Wharf - the driving test center is in Doughcloyne. I dont believe there is a Theory Test center in Mallow but as far as I know there is a mobile unit that comes to Charleville. The website (www.ddts.ie) will give you all the details.

Thanks that clears things up a bit. I thought it had moved from penrose wharf.
