Skype handset recommendation

Could you recommend me a skype handset, please.

    * It does NOT have to be a dual device, ie: ordinary (pstn) phone + skype device, Skype only is sufficient.

    * Large (ish) buttons + clear enough screen are desirable as it is intended for use by elderly persons with no tech knowledge.

    * Connection wise, it could either be (whichever is cheaper / performs better):
    - a device with wi-fi card in it that would connect to a wireless router / bband modem or
    - a device with an ethernet port that would hook up into router / bband modem.
    - anything else, that would not require much fiddling for daily operation after initial once-off setup.

    Thanks for any feedback.

ps. Presently, I have nokia n800 knocking around and that would do the job perfectly, except that whole issue of a lack of hardware buttons (touch screen, small pixels + need to use the stylus)

I'm looking for Skype phones as well, but that connects to WiFi directly - anyone have any opinions on/experience with this Ipevo one?

I cant believe the irony of this post.

Instead do a quick search of skype and ebay.

You will get a few results like these:

In a nutshell, Ebay owns Skype, and when they bought it they forgot to buy a specific component for it. The original writers of Skype have recently gotten a court order saying either Ebay buys this particular component or skype will get shut down.

Ebay bought skype for 2.6 billion in 2005, thinking they had unearthed a new technology that was going to change they world and make them super rich. They were half right. They had found a new technology that changed the world. I can call my parents who live a thousand miles away for free. The problem is, there is little or no money in it.

My point is, I would hold off on buying any skype equipment for a few weeks until this story is resolved.

Thanks, had missed all that. Was planning on getting it as birthday present for my sister (lives abroad) - guess I'll have to rethink!

But then I'd have to try explain it to her... As she's a total luddite I was planning on entering her network and pass, and setting her up with an account on Skype with various contacts already added before sending it to her :) If she has to turn on a computer, or do anything other than select "Thoie" from a contact list she just won't use it.
