MacBook Start up/Boot Problem. Please Help.

    Hi,
So I've been trawling the web for hours looking to a solution to this problem but can't fix it so please help if you can.

When I turn on my 2007 MacBook the grey screen runs fine. When it comes to the blue "Starting Mac OS X" screen, the blue progress bar fills but then stays like this and won't go any further. I've left it like this for over an hour and it stays the same.

The measures I have taken so far are:
    - Repair Disk & Verify Disk in Disk Utility
    - Ran fsck thing in Single-User mode, no problems detected
    - Repaired Disk Permissions
    - Pressed cmd/alt/p/r to reset RAM on startup

I know my Harddrive is detected so I don't know what the problem could be, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Install anything new recently?

Are you able to boot in safe-mode? Press and hold shift after the startup tone.

If it works go into Preferences > Accounts and disable all log-in items. Then restart and see if it works.

If not there are a few other things I can suggest.

    Thanks for the reply.

Haven't installed anything new lately and can't boot it in safe-mode. It's just starting as normal i.e. staying at the blue screen. My hard-drive is pretty full I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

I've run the hard-drive test (cmd/T) and it said everything was fine.

I'm not sure there's any other option now but to do an Archive and Install. But if the HD is really full that won't be possible either. Do you have a backup?

Alternatively if you have another Mac you could use target disk mode to access the HD. More info here:
