Just something that was brought up on a night out a while ago......

When was the last time you kissed someone for the first time while sober? (excluding when you were 13/14/too young to drink)

Im ashamed to say me and most of my friends had to answer never and id imagine most Irish people would too.

Its kinda sad. Not really a good thing.....

(Sorry if this has been brought up before.... I did a search but didnt find anything)

First time I kissed my current gf. While we had been drinking that night, come 6am in the middle of watching Serenity and following a night in which I was sent through a door, 1 friend was put in a coma, another cut his wrist open by punchig a window while another had a complete mental breakdow. As you can imagine at the time I was pretty sober.

Kissed my husband about 20 mins ago.

Kissed him for the first time about 8 years and 4 months ago. We were both sober.

OOo yes this was done a few months ago,I remember because I had just had my first sober first kiss in 8 years the day before!

Anyway it was in March with my current girlfriend. Shockingly our first three dates were sober and we kissed on the third date, on the train platform. It was lovely and to be honest, sober dating turned out to be sooooo much more exciting than drunken dating because you really got to feel all the nerves and excitement and tension and all of the lovely wondering. Plus you don't have to worry the next day that the other person only kissed you because they were hammered. So as a seasoned drunken dater (my first kiss with my previous girlfriend neither of us can even remember because we were so drunk - she woke up the next morning with a black eye from where she fell over, and was missing her bag, wallet and keys - yikes) I can say I am absolutely converted.
