    If it's a hotel your after here are your choices;

    1) lawlors hotel: this is the closest hotel to the start line at the sports centre, it's just off gratton sq which is the centre of town, close to pubs, restaurants etc. Approx 300 metres to the start, in my opinion prob the lowest standard hotel in dungarvan though still a great place to stay

    2) the park hotel: this would be on the top of my list as it's more or less central as well and it's a great hotel, top of th list for location and comfort etc

    3) I'm gonna combine both the gold coast hotel and clonea hotel as there both owned by the same ppl and there both outside dungarvan but are only about a 6 euro taxi ride away from town! Both are lovely hotels by the sea (if u feel like a run on the beach or a cycle the next morning down the coast rd)

    other than hotels there are a number of b&b's in town, google the dungarvan tourism website and there all there!

    As for me I won't be staying in any cus a live a stone throw away from the town, hope this helps though

    I'm not going to make it to Sean Kelly myself this year, but I don't think you're going to find much decent at all in Dungarvan....it's not exactly exciting-central!
    From what I heard of Lawlors last year, you'll be as well bringing your own breakfast as the 1 staff member was a bit shocked to see so many cyclists up early for breakfast and a bit overwhelmed with the entire situation!

    Yeah that seems to be a big problem in alot of hotels in Ireland they just dont cater for cyclists who need to breakfast at around 5.30- 6.00 am. In fairness when you request it most do try but its very basic cereal tea / coffee and its usually the foreign night porter who cant speak english and just wants to go home who is responsible for it............

    I'd say if a few are staying on Sunday night we might try to meet up for drinks.
    Then again we could all go back to our bedrooms and fall asleep.:D

    I stayed in a B+B last year. It was a good bit outside of Dungarvan but the service was great. The owners knew I was down for the cycling and they served breakfest early. Then one of the owners dropped me in to the cycle so that my girlfriend could get some extra sleep.

    Actually just thinking isnt this the last of the major events this year and probably our last wend away too so it would be nice to mark it in some way....... may I suggest..............BEER / DRINK as an option
