    Hi,

    I've been getting mails (looking a little like spam, but from an address with a name on that I know) asking me to check out the bargains at "sto-res.com"

    The website seems okay, but poorly written in English by someone in China.

    The whole set-up looks a little like the "elebarn" thread above.

    Anyone here ever dealt with them? They have a few gadgets that I'd like, at good prices, but I'm very wary of the set up.

    At a very quick glance, I'd say it's a scam. Either way, since they are spamming you, you should not trust them. Very few legitimate companies advertise in this way. SPAM = SCAM, generally speaking.

    Yeah, that's what I thought. Too good to be true.

    Was looking at the ipod touch and it seemed very cheap. Having said that, the apple.ie site has them starting at 219euro, which is not bad. I've asked them what the educational discount would be, so maybe that is a much safer route.

    Elebarn is definitely a scam, see the other quotes on the site. I've just joined to post this. I didn't get caught - "if it looks too good to be true" etc. They said they accept PayPal which is safe but didn't give the option at checkout. I queried it and they said it was too expensive for less than $200 purchases. I offered to pay the PayPal charges and here is their reply
