Why are all the hotels booked out 22nd Aug?

    Hey guys, Been trying to book a hotel around Wicklow or West Cork. I have tried a few in my price range and ones that i like and they ALL seemed to be booked out

    I am booking on the 22nd of August (Saturday)!

    Is there any reason, that im totally unaware of, why hotels are booked out?

    Its a Saturday and one of the last weekends before the kids go back to school.

    There's a few things on alright but not enough to fill every room in the area

    The Tour of Ireland cycle race starts in Wicklow on Fri 21st and a stage starts in Bantry, West Cork on the 23rd. All the hotels will be taken up by the cycle teams not to mind the fans.

    Also if there is some event on in this case the cycling most hotels will only take bookings for a min of 2 nights.
