CZ 527 but which model and calibre?

My CZ varmint .223 1in9 twist just love's the Federal 40gr V-Shoks and will group sub MOA all day. It shoots the Sako 55gr good as well.

My son's CZ 527 Lux .223 1in12 twist seems to like the Sako 55gr SP gameheads

And there is a difference between the Sako 50gr and 55gr Gameheads besides just the weight.

The 50gr use 21.6grs of N120 Vit powder with 985 m/s at the muzzel.
The 55gr use 24.2grs of N130 Vit powder with 1015 m/s at the muzzel.

Looking at the trajectory's given from Sako the 55gr shoots a lot flatter and will retain more energy to flatten a fox.
    A 150m zero will give:
    50gr -20.8cm @250m, -40.9cm @300m
    55gr -16.5cm @250m, -33.1cm @300m

I had a cz lux .223 it liked American Eagle 50 grain hollow point at 13 euro a box i think. The sakos did not seem to feed great in mine you needed that little bit more pressure when closing the bolt action on them. Federal 28 euro a box great round often put two or three rounds through the same hole. Try as many brands as you can you will soon find what your barrel likes.. and what the foxes dont like !!!
