Journals

Many economics journals have apparently been disappeared from the Ussher and moved to Santry. We are being asked to use the online resources. Stupidly, the library forgot to check whether their subscriptions included access to recent issues. As a result, important recent research in many journals is now only available after a request to stacks.

What fresh hell is this? Has anyone else encountered this in their subject?

It takes only a few hours to get something from stacks. If it's requested often enough it will be brought back into trinity proper.

Surely it is more reasonable to keep recent issues of important journals for the subject in general circulation.

Does the library know that they don't have online versions?

If this is the case, please bring this to the attention of the Duty Librarian - 01-896 1172 - stating which journals don't have the latest issue available. We'll be happy to rectify the oversight!
