    Hey All,
Someone spilled/spilt (not sure) liquid on my laptop keyboard and now some of the keys wont work. Ive been told by my local laptop repair shop that the laptop itself is fine because it starts up perfectly and doesnt have any other problems. All I need is a replacement keyboard.

The problem is that he says he rang Medion(the brand) and they say that they dont supply replacement parts. He didnt specify if they don't suplly that particular part or any parts at all which i would think is a bit strange.

The model is Medion WIM 2060

Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions as i miss my laptop terribly!

Do any of these look similar to your keyboard?
    Here on eBay
None are 2060 model but some may be compatible.

USB keyboard, or failing that the on screen keyboard that comes with windows. I know not the most elegant solutions, but will certainly work as a stopgap measure.

Isn't there a legal requirement for manufacturers to stock/supply parts for so many years after production?

Keep looking, you'll find the part.

Only for warranty jobs. Acer won't sell a replacement graphics card to me for a laptop that is out of warranty by 6 months. They have it in stock but will only release it for warranty repairs. Offered to let them repair the laptop and no. They won't supply the part. Could go the legal route but it's not worth that.
