    HEY,

Want to get away to the sun before going back to college. a week or ten days would be ideal. Anyone any recommendations? We're students so we cant pay that much but on the other hand we dont need 5 star accom. either. Decent nightlife would help!

Went to salou last summer for a week, wasnt too impressed with the place. Its walking distance to Port Aventura which is a really cool huge theme park, and waterpark right beside it, and a day trip to barcelona is only a bus trip away (and certainly worth doing for a day), but I thought the nightlife was average enough, and felt it was more the kind of place spanish people go on holiday, not that much Irish out there. Not a bad restort overall but there are better.

Ya salou isnt exactly party central, portadventura and the waterparks are great craic doe, im going nxt wk for the 2nd time but i hav kids so its perfect, its more a family resort than a party town . A friend works with bud*et and she told me not to book with them as there accomodations in salou is very basic (i never go with them anyway).

You would be better off in somewhere like santa ponsa as the family resorts in majorca are at the other end of the island or tenerife (ryan*ir fly to both) or ibiza.
