    Travel Longford-Dublin Return For Just €10 With Bus Éireann

    Bus Éireann has announced a special day return fare of €10 from Longford to Dublin until September 11th 2009. The €10 day return fare also applies to services between Edgeworthstown and Dublin.

    The €10 day return fare is available on the number 22 and 23 services providing customers with the choice of more than 10 services to and from Dublin every day. Special offer tickets can be purchased from the bus driver only.

    “In these difficult economic times, this is an excellent opportunity for Bus Éireann customers to enjoy the sights and sounds of the capital city and also save some money,” said Rory Leahy, Regional Manager, Bus Éireann.

    Route 22 and 23 services depart Longford (Monday to Friday) at 8.55am, 9.45am, 9.50am, 11.05am, 1pm, 3pm, 3.05pm, 5.10pm, 5.20pm and 7.50pm. On Sundays and public holidays, they depart Longford at 11.20am, 2.15pm, 2.20pm, 4.50pm, 5.10pm, 5.20pm, 6pm, 7.25pm and 7.50pm.

    Customers in Longford can also save money on car parking charges and petrol by taking one of Bus Eireann’s services to Dublin Airport. Services to Dublin Airport leave Longford daily at 3.35am (route 22) and 3.15am (route 23) and arrive at Dublin Airport at 5.25am and 4.45am respectively. Direct return services to Longford leave Dublin Airport daily at 7.05am and 9.15pm. There are also frequent connecting services from Busaras to Dublin Airport from all our bus arrivals from Longford.

    Thank God for an alternative to the train. I use the 10:50 train to Dublin once a week and it can be often full and even the 12:50 to Dublin can be full. I wonder why are they not operating the 10 euro fair on the 115 bus service as this is relatively good and will you be allowed to return on any service.
