Going to the garage with the car in the morning it's a 94 laguna. Just thought I'd run the problem by you lot first:o.
There is an awful grinding noise when the steering wheel is turned. It's been like that about 2 weeks but only got worse in the last few days. Not going to bother getting it fixed if its going to cost a fortune but was thinking it was a power steering problem. Any ideas?

Don't want anyone loosing sleep over this so I thought i'd post an update. Just checked the power steering fluid and there was, eh, none in it. Bought a bottle poured it in and car is all better:o Bit embarrassed but i'm only a girl.....!

No, you shouldn't, it doesnt burn off like engine oil.

More than likely its leaking somewhere proabably into the boots.

New steering rack is the usual fix.
