Hi. Has anyone had laser hair removal using the soprano XL laser. Urbana in Dublin have it. I was just wondering was it any good? Theres so many lasers and I want to go to a salon with the best one and I have been turned off IPL.

    Hi,
I'm booked in for my 1st session there next week. Im getting a combination package; lower leg, brazilian, and underarm. Went into a few places, and thought this place seemed the best. Some of the others were very pushy and wanted me to hand over money immedately and also lied saying there special offer was ending in a few days and that I needed to pay immediately. So, am really excited now, and hopefully it will go okay.

    Hi,
Yeah it's going great! I've had 4 sessions so far, and am really happy with the results. I was supposed to have had my 5th session last week, but for some reason my hair is quite slow growing back, so I've had to postpone most of the sessions until there is enough hair growth. I can honestly say I'm about 50% hair free at this stage which is fantastic. It doesn't hurt at all, although it can be a little uncomfortable on your inner bikini line (im getting it all off), but apart from that, it's actually quite relaxing. The staff are fantastic in there, really genuine and not at all pushy. In fact, because they are so nice, I now get massages and facials done there aswell. Any other questions fire away!

    Is it expensive?

em, well I suppose it depends on what you want done. I got some tax back last year, so decided to get a combination package. Think it was roughly around €1200 for lower leg, full bikini, and underarm. Not sure how much single areas are. 7 sessions in total I think. It was slightly more expensive than one or two of the more well known places, but if your gonna pay over a grand for something a hundred quid either way is not gonna make a difference. and some places dont allocate time for the underarm, they just try and squeeze it into the time for the other 2 areas. so hopefully now in another few sessions I'll be hair free. fingers crossed!

As far as I know that machine is one of the best out there. FAB off Grafton St have a similar machine and are doing an offer at the moment of 70% off. I'm getting my lower leg done for about €330 for 6 sessions. Have had two sessions and notice the difference. I know it'll work too as I've had underarm and bikini done there too and a year later, not a single hair. The only place that it may be difficult is the face, apparantly it has something to do with your hormones, the hair on the face is different. I really recommend FAB.

yeah I've actually hear very good things about FAB aswell. Think they use the same machine. Yeah any hair on your face could grow back at any time as its normally down to hormones/stress/pill etc. So I'd be very dubious about getting my face done. Although I know someone getting IPL on their face though, and that apparently works much better.
jojo, how long did your course of sessions take? just wondering as the time inbetween my appts is much longer, as my hair seems to take much longer to grow back.

Would you have a phone number/website for FAB by any chance? I can't find them online for some reason. Ta.

I had six sessions all about five weeks apart which I was told was the norm. I have paleish skin and very dark hair. Then at the end I was told that if there was any re-growth or just a few hairs I could come back for an extra session. Any sessions after that were €50 each but luckily I didnt have to go there.
