Went up to see the semi finals tonight and it was great craic. It looks like it will make for brilliant TV, plenty of big names and heavily stacked with people involved with irish boxing. Think its being shown over 4 nights and starts this Friday, I wont spoil it by saying who is through to the finals.

Bita publicity aint bad at all, who's the heavily stacked people involved with Irish boxing???
And I want to hear the real people NOW heavily involved not the old time ex pro's involvedn with sky punditry!:pac:

Hope it similar to the gaelic ****e they had to coach a team, cause be interested to see the REAL MEN that make Amatuer boxing what it is today coach the "celebs" and giving them abit of limelight for once not ex pro's recindeling the lime light!

Cant remember exactly everyone who was there but the few i remember were

Oisin Fagan, Jim Rock & Katie Taylors father on the coaching side, Barry McGuigan appears to be central to the programme alongside Jimmy McGee, now I know some people will cring at this but McGee will be in his element here and i bet he comes across very well. On the judgeing panel they had Pat Spillane - a middle of the road guy who will help a boxing show appeal to the general audience and it should be interesting to see how a person with no boxing background analyses a fight, they also had Bernard Dunne on the judgeing panel along with Jimmy Mc Gee I think but as far as i know the judges are different for each night. Katie Taylor & Kenny Egan were also in attendance and there were others like Tim Witherspoon knocking around. Brian Peters is also heavily involved in the production. Mickey Vann was judgeing. So as things go a fairly good representation and im sure there were others on the other nights it was being produced. No sign of Mick DOwling thank god!!!!!!
