I'd prefer if they decided to enable the tether which already works first... judging on the tethering, visual voicemail etc i'd imagine they haven't a hope in hell of making this app.

    I doubt its an either/or

Plenty of other threads on tethering, why not post there?

Tether looks like it will be supported soon. Visual Voicemail, seems very unlikely.
For visual voicemail its a question of cost. The investment required in the network to enable visual voicemail is significant & is not sustainable in its current form. Hence we're looking at other options which would allow us to develop the capability at a reduced cost.
Regarding tethering, its a different question altogether. As you know we've invested heavily in our network already to enable mobile broadband etc and are keen to bring tethering to our iphone customers. We're working with Apple to satisfy their device specific requirements and would hope to have some better news on this soon - sorry I can't be more exact with a date than this.

I'm just pointing out that this O2TV will probably just join the other list of things that O2 couldn't be bothered doing.

O2 TV cannot be done on the iPhone just yet because of the way streaming is handled on the iPhone. The iPhone has only recently supported streaming (with the iPhone 3.0). The iPhone does not support the 3GPP version of streaming that most mobile devices support (using RTSP). Instead it uses a new Apple version called HTTP Live Streaming. We’re looking to provide the streaming TV service to the iPhone and hope to have a solution shortly.

    Hi Daryll,

O2 Czech Republic have an O2 TV app in the app store, would this not work?
