    The man who gave his name to the gibson les paul guitar died of complications from pneumonia.

    Not to mention his innovations in multitrack recording, and electronic pioneering. A jazz guitarist of amazing skill, Multiple Hit records, and an inspiration to many.

    Watch a docu on him on BBC a few monthe back. It was like discovering music all over again. He was unreal.
    Never took anything technical at face value. Always wanted to know how they worked and how he could make them work for him.
    But the main thing was a gent, up for a laugh and he played until the end.
    Timeless.
