Re FIREARM CERTIFICATE Form FCA1 APPLICAION.

Do you have to supply Proof re, Section 2,5 - Proof of Competence in Possession, Use and Carriage of a Firearm.

It states on a section of the form (If this is a first time application, please provide proof)

The heading on the Form states, Firearm Certificate Application, it does not say or renewal, so does this mean we have to provide proof.

The form states firearms act 1925 - 2009 as amended ?.

This will be the first time within the new system that I will be applying.

Assuming you have held an "old" firearms license in the past year, no, you do not have to supply proof of competence

Just state how long you've been shooting.
