question about rent allowance?

hi me and my boyfriend started getting rent allowance in our rented place, a few weeks ago, now he is starting a job in a 2 weeks time and im just wonder do they cut us off when he signs off, cos its in his name. dont know much about this, any inforamtion would help please.

I'm afraid if one of you is working you won't be eligible for rent allowance.
