Is there a way to enter the marathon without going through the web. It says it adds an additional 8%. Thats an extra €6.40 on the €80 entry fee. Can you download an entry form somewhere and just post it in with the €80?

"Online Registration There is a 8% transaction fee for the Online registration. "

    Thanks.

    Bit tight? :D
You should just be able to post it or drop it into the organisers.

Cheques and Drafts should be made payable to:
    Marathon Events Management Ltd.
    and posted to:
Lifestyle Sports - adidas Dublin Marathon
    Donore Harriers Sports Centre,
    Chapelizod,
    Dublin 20,
    Ireland.

Thanks. Just rang the marathon office and they are going to post me out an entry form.

I'm not tight, just think the handling charge is a bit of a joke. Some races I have entered online don't even mention the handling charge till you get the the last screen.

I posted about this previously as well.

    I think it's very annoying.

I've no problem with that but DCM should either absorb the cost in the entry or highlight to people that there is an additional charge.

They should not advertise the race as being X amount to enter, tell users that they can enter on-line and not mention a charge that is going to be whacked on in the middle of the entry process.

DCM are aware of what active global are charging but are choosing not to highlight it to the user. I think it's really rubbish and very poor customer service.

    Here's my original mail.

I'm with Domer and Hardy Eustace on this one.

If anything the online entry should be cheaper and maybe the "handling fee" should be charged for using a postal application.
