I just bought a new set of irons and am now going to buy a driver, 3 wood and a 5 wood. Do ye know of anywhere that might sell say TM a(or any other good brand) 1,3,5 wood as a set? Any help appreciated.

Any place that sells golf clubs (other than supermarkets etc.) will sell individual woods. All you do is buy the driver, 3 wood and 5 wood of the same type and you have a set.

However most people have a different driver to their fairway woods.......that's just personal preference.

Also look at rescue woods as an alternative to your long irons.......some people decide to drop the 3 wood or the 5 wood from their sets.

So you don't need to get a nice "full" set of the same make.

If you are going to invest in the driver, 3 wood and 5 wood, perhaps you should get the same brand.

At least the shafts will be similar which will give you some consistency. Different manufacturers use different shafts your swing may have different results coupled with the different shafts in the clubs you select.

Personally I'd stick to a set with matching or similar shafts.

I see where you are coming from but my experience is different.

I always use a different driver as my requirements for a driver are different than fairway woods.

Although I generally buy the same type of fairway wood, I'd also buy different makes for a reason. If say I wanted a large headed 3 wood for tee shots then I might buy one model but if I wanted a small headed 5 wood for tight fairways then I'd choose a different model.

I don't think one model for all 3 clubs would meet my individual requirements.
