Why did Churchill lose the election?

Right after winning the war Churchill gets voted out. Seems there are a lot of reasons why. Poor election effort. Voters craving change and the end of rationing. The dour image of Churchill being in contrast with this. The welfare state. Blaming the Conservatives for the war. The feeling that a good military leader might not be the right man in peace time. These seem to be the reasons that keep popping up on any of the research I have read but a lot of it is pointing to cunning spin come election time. Anyone got any thoughts / specifics?

i have a documentary about this somewhere. I think it's covered at the end of the ww2 in colour series too.

because he was a warmonger and the brits did not want another war. he fought WW2 for his own gain. he could have easily made peace with the germans. he was ready to go to war with russia when they were fighting the finns, but changed his mind at the last minute. in any case russia became the enemy in 1945.the nazis saw them as a threat to western civilisation as did the allies.
churchills latest biography does not exactly canonise him.
